1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Smart Sales Ledger mobile application ("the App"), developed and operated by Genio India. By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The App and Its Purpose
Smart Sales Ledger is a business ledger and sales management application designed for small and medium businesses. It allows you to:
- Maintain a list of customers and track outstanding balances
- Record sale entries against customers using products you define
- Record payments received from customers
- Manage product information and stock quantities
- Generate and download sales reports
- Share payment reminders with customers
The App is intended for use by business owners and their authorised staff to manage their own business data.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use the App you must register an account by providing your company name, company type, name, mobile number, password, and address. You must provide accurate and complete information. Your mobile number will be verified via a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS at registration and when you reset your password.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@genioindia.co.in.
4. Free Trial
New accounts are granted a free trial upon registration. During the trial period you can access the App's features subject to the limits shown on the Subscription screen (such as a maximum number of customers you can add).
At the end of the trial period, access to certain features will be restricted until you purchase a subscription plan. Your existing data will remain safe and accessible regardless of your subscription status.
5. Subscription Plans and Payments
After the free trial, continued full use of the App requires an active paid subscription. Subscription plans are shown on the Menu → Subscription screen.
- Payments are processed securely through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). We do not directly handle your payment card information.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled through the respective app store before the renewal date.
- Plan features such as the maximum number of customers, PDF report download, and ad removal vary by plan and are shown on the Subscription screen.
- If you reach the customer limit of your plan, you will not be able to add new customers until you upgrade.
6. Refunds
Subscription payments are processed by Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and refunds are subject to their respective refund policies. Genio India does not issue refunds directly. Please contact the respective store for refund requests.
7. Your Data and Accuracy
All data entered in the App — customers, sale entries, payments, products — is entered by you. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you record.
Smart Sales Ledger is a tool to help you organise your records. It does not verify, validate, or audit the business transactions you enter. Do not rely solely on the App for tax, accounting, or legal compliance purposes.
Customer deletion: You can delete a customer from the App only if their balance is fully settled (zero outstanding amount). Deleting a customer permanently removes all their associated ledger entries. This action cannot be undone.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful business purposes. You must not:
- Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent data
- Use the App to store data unrelated to your business ledger
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App's servers or other users' accounts
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms.
9. Sharing Features
The App allows you to share content such as a customer's balance reminder or a sales report PDF using your device's share functionality. You are responsible for what you share and with whom. Do not share customer financial information with unauthorised parties.
The Call and Message buttons on the customer screen initiate actions using your device's dialer or share sheet. These actions are entirely under your control.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, interface, code, and content, is the intellectual property of Genio India. All rights are reserved.
The data you enter into the App (your customers, products, entries) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over your business data.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While we strive to keep the App available and accurate, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genio India shall not be liable for:
- Any loss of data due to device failure, accidental deletion, or network issues
- Any business loss, financial loss, or indirect damages arising from use of or inability to use the App
- Errors in data entered by the user
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. If you wish to delete your account and all your data, contact us at support@genioindia.co.in.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in fraudulent activity.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
